13 March 2015 at the Portland Japanese Garden
It’s been a while since I posted last. Here are pictures from my volunteering at the Portland Japanese Garden on 13 March 2015. Above is a beautiful magnolia flower.
This is a camellia.
This is a view of the karesansui 枯山水庭園 garden.
The beautiful 100 year old cherry tree.
Can you see the bunny うさぎ 🐰 under the bush just to the right of the cherry tree? Munch, munch, munch. He’s eating it!
A tsukubai 蹲.
Star magnolia with the Sapporo pagoda in the background.
This area is where I worked with Heike. We fertilized these trees.
The beautiful pavilion with the dancing peacock Japanese maple in the foreground.
A pink camellia.
A pink magnolia, with the entrance gate in the background.
Just outside the entrance gates, with the tall cherry tree cascading down.
A light pink camellia.
I forget the name of this delicate white flower.
My used Terry bike at the lower gate. At the top of the picture you can see the cherry tree that’s just outside the entrance gate.
Isn’t spring beautiful?
