Driving Through Idaho and Oregon

The drive home from Glacier National Park was a different, “scenic” route. Much longer. Through Missoula, then into Idaho and through some great scenery into Oregon. After seeing the mountains and canyons in Idaho, Hells Canyon is probably the next big trip I take. Breathtaking. And seeing it all at sunset was divine. I didn’t take any pictures: partly, I didn’t want to stop because we’d been driving for so long already, and also because I wanted to remember its beauty as a memory and not as an imperfect digital rendering. Here are some photos from the drive.

And onto the next day, into Oregon:

Bernard joined the family. Bernard the Bear. Todd Hogan’s name is visible on his tail. Baxter (who died in March), loved Todd. He’d never loved a toy so much.
